It’s easy for us to judge and to categorize people as either “good guys” or “bad guys.” However, as Pastor Jeff Walling explains as he preaches through Matthew 9:10-11 and the genealogy of Christ, Jesus’s redeeming and transforming love directly challenges this view. When we look at the family of Jesus, we see a holy mess that looks familiar. Your past doesn’t disqualify you from the family of faith. The messy truth is that there is room for all kinds of messes in Christ’s family.
